The people behind The Flame Musical are making podcast musicals that they can be proud of. They want to make musicals that are accessible to everyone and especially focused on the LGBTQ+ community, starting with The Flame. The Flame tells the story of two women: Jamie, a queer bar owner, and Sam, the woman selling the building the bar inhabits, and the inevitable sparks that end up flying between them. The Flame was an eight-episode musical arc released as a Lez Hang Out Production in the summer of 2021. It’s a crowd-funded, entirely original story, book, and score with 18 songs.
