Amy’s Craft is slaying pages like nobody’s business. They believe in entertaining, inspiring, and surprising people with their stories. They will make it worth it. They have been writing on and off since 2003 and this time it’s on like Donkey Kong. They started writing as therapy. An escape from their lonely teenage pain. In their writings they had friends, freedom, and they could discover themselves. Their stories were their original virtual reality and kept them alive. The need they saw fast forward to getting their dream job at a library. Surrounded by books, they got to see people’s reading habits as well as their struggles. Busy lives. Book lists growing faster than people could read. They were one of those people. Lack of diversity. It’s good to see this issue starting to be mended. It’s a slow process, but it has to start somewhere. A couple abusive relationships later, they decided it was time to pick up the pen again. If their stories could help them, maybe they would help others too. Shorter stories that the busy person can get through. Stories to give people a break from their lives. Inspire people to fight through. Or show them their lives aren’t so bad in comparison. They want to write for people who want more diversity. Not just in their characters, but also their plot. Because life is diverse and messy, and if they stick together they might just make it out alive. Keep them accountable, they’ make it worth it.
