Laochin Gundogs MBE is Colin Cullen who has been training gundogs for nearly 30 years, starting firstly with his own dogs and then turning his passion into a successful full-time business some 16 years ago. Colin has gained numerous field trial awards with various breeds i.e. retrievers, Spaniels and HPRs. Colin was also awarded in 2011 the Keith Erlandson Memorial Trophy for Gundog Trainer of the Year. Colin has also represented his homeland country, Scotland, at the CLA Gamefair Home International Gundog Test. Whether your interest lies in field trials, working tests, picking-up, working in the shooting field or having a well-behaved gundog, Colin’s approach is supportive and constructive to help you build a successful partnership with your dog, and enjoy many years together. Colin is fortunate to train all over the UK with great handlers and dogs and has even been known to pop over to the USA to train #thelaochinway! Colin also has clients from Europe who enjoy his methods and attended training. Based in rural Northumberland, Colin is fortunate to be surrounded by beautiful countryside and takes full advantage of this when training with clients and his own dogs. Colin likes to practise what he preaches and is currently enjoying field trialling his spaniels.
