animatrix is a Senior FX Technical Director @ Industrial Light & Magic. Most people know them by the alias animatrix. When they are not doing shot work, they like creating fast and efficient FX tools for Houdini to push the boundaries of what’s possible, or solve production problems easier and/or faster. They have a strong background in real-time graphics programming (EA Frostbite Engine) that allows them to create highly generic, robust and performant production-oriented operators that can be used to create extremely sophisticated setups to create brilliant shots for the silver screen. They also create Houdini tutorials with a strong applied focus on high-end feature film visual effects production. Their first tutorial Pragmatic VEX: Volume 1 is out.
