Anya Achtenberg

Anya Achtenberg Sefara-Rabi has been helping writers for years to create and to support others as creators. They ask for support, not only for their dreams, but to continue their years of work to create, and to support others as creators. They’ve helped a lot of writers/people. They’ve given much, worked too hard, gotten an enormous amount from it, but not in currency. They need to have time to nourish their own writing, and to write anything and everything that it is theirs to bring into being, as they have encouraged and assisted others to do through the teaching aspect of their work, and through the creation of courses that would open the world within and the world outside to the vastness of each writer they work with, and give them the tools to write beyond what they dreamt they could. They are ready now to ask for support, foremost, for their own writing of fiction, especially novels, and poetry; as well as occasional essays and creative nonfiction. As well, many writers, students, clients, have asked that they write fully, and bring into books/eBooks, the courses they have developed and taught, and the radically creative and expansive, generative, and even socially conscious approaches to creative writing craft that they have grown; being dissatisfied with what others attempted to push them into doing, and being hungry for the fullness of the inner world of consciousness, and the outer world – its suffering and beauty, its extraordinary courage and creativity, its devotion and love – to meet in the straining and lush world of language. While they will continue to teach creative writing in many venues and formats, they also want support to bring into enduring form, whether written or video-ed or sound files or recorded conferencing, the many workshops they have created to open up writers to their own gifts and freedom, their expanding creative and associative maps, their joy in the work before they salsa from this plane to the next, decades from now, but still, not as many decades as they could use.
