Archie Bongiovanni is a cartoonist, illustrator and zine-maker living in Minneapolis. Their graphic novel, A Quick And Easy Guide To They/Them Pronouns was published with Limerence Press/Oni Press and has been praised by School Library Journal (starred review) and one of YALSA’s Great Graphic Novels For Teens. Their newest graphic novel, Grease Bats was released by BOOM! Studios in fall 2019. They recently released Flagging 101, published by the wonderful Silver Sprocket and have a young adult non-fiction comic forthcoming from First Second. They are currently in the process of creating a full-length graphic novel titled Mimosa to be published with Surley Press. Mimosa is about four mid-life queers learning that creating chosen family isn’t just about showing up for each other. Process pages, sketches and eventually final pages will be uploaded here for your enjoyment. They’ve been featured on Autostraddle, Vice, The New Yorker, Vice, and The Nib. You can find their comics online, in anthologies, and self-published mini-comics and zines. Their vision for their work is solid – they make art and stories that are enjoyable, approachable, and most importantly, gay and good. You also get to see a ton of their illustrative work too.
