Beneath the Tangles is unlike anything on the web. Their staff develops anime, manga, and gaming content that expresses their devotion to Japanese entertainment, but which digs deeper as they discuss Christianity and how faith principles can connect to these mediums. In doing so, they have developed an open and genuine community in which they engage their audience in matters of faith and religion, while participating in a mission to help otaku learn what Christianity means in a age where the faith has taken on a connotation that is often unlike what Christ represents. They do not advertise on their site, but do request financial assistance in helping their community grow. Their mission is part of a larger pool that can be of considerable help in expanding their audience and content as part of their vision to make the site a destination for as many English-speaking anime fans as possible.
