Birds of Chicago is Allison Russell and JT Nero – partners in life, music and community building. They’ve been touring together as Birds of Chicago over 200 days a year for four years, and have found an international, ramshackle, loving family in that time. They want to continue to be a wellspring and conduit of art, connection, reckoning and understanding in these turbulent times. Patreon’s platform allows them to do this in a unique and sustainable way. They’ve never had a traditional artist/fan relationship with their community.
