Black Bear (Sam Beebe) is back! They have new music already out, with more to come soon. Sam has said that the possibility is always still alive like a pilot light in a stove, always lit and ready to spark a flame when the inspiration and drive arises. The other perfect metaphor, of course, which Sam has used often, is the bears winter hibernation being tucked away for an improbably long time, the warm core still quietly alive in the center, for when the natural time comes to awake and lumber out into the light. They have multiple new songs in the works. Sam is reaching out for support and incentivization, to encourage and participate in this new Black Bear phase. The art-making world has never been more conducive to the bee-and-flower kind of symbiosis than it is right now. Thanks to an ever-evolving system of artist-empowering inventions, we are in a new era (which began in earnest around the time Sam was making The Cinnamon Phase, starting with GarageBand and MySpace), and the whole paradigm has been turned on its head, snatching keys for success from the old gatekeepers and handing them over to the artists and their audiencest to the people who should be controlling and shaping these exchanges and mutually reaping their benefits without the distortion and exploitation of middlemen who care much more about profit than art (if they care about art at all). Sam is asking you now to consider signing on, anywhere across a range of four tiers, to being personally involved in the Black Bear creation process.
