Black Market is created by Nate Bridges. Nate’s basic thesis for the project Black Market Dub is this: what would happen if The Beach Boys had The Wailers as their backing band instead of The Wrecking Crew? What if David Bowie spent the summer of 1975 in Kingston, Jamaica with King Tubby instead of Philidelphia? Michael Jackson meets Scratch Perry? These questions form the backbone of Black Market Dub. Nate’s a recording engineer who’s been honing his craft for almost two decades. He trained under Brian Wallace at Rockwell Sounds in Atascadero, CA, graduated with Bachelors and Masters degrees from The Berklee College of Music and went on to work for two years at Capitol Studios in Hollywood, CA. Throughout those experiences he’s been doing freelance work and creating records with friends and clients from around the world.
