Briyana D. Clarel is a Black queer writer, performer and educator passionate about musical theatre, mangoes, and memoirs. They are the host of A Very Virgo Virtual Show and the founder of The Starfruit Project, an initiative supporting healing and growth through creative writing and performance. Briyana creates sketch comedy, plays, and showcases that center Black and LGBTQ artists and narratives. Their work has been featured on My First Sketch, The Philadelphia Gay News, My Gay Agenda, and Philly.com. Their support helps cover the costs of making art, including paying collaborators, keep the art they create accessible, and support them as a human being.
