Cardiff Music History is the curator of items bought for the collection rather than the owner and they will look into ways of working with organisations that will help them to store and display these items in Cardiff. The Cardiff Music History Facebook page started as a Facebook page, archiving images of posters, tickets and photos from gigs in Cardiff in 2017. They aim of the Cardiff Music History Patreon page is for Patreon members to contribute towards funding a physical archive of posters, tickets, records and other items relating to Cardiff’s music history. This could include everything from long out of print records by Cardiff bands to posters advertising gigs. The overall aim is to create an accessible archive of items that can be exhibited at exhibitions in Cardiff. We’ll keep you up to date with items that have been bought for the archive and there will be a digital archive of these items on the Cardiff Music History Facebook and YouTube channel.
