Christopher McKitterick is a writer, educator, maker, intersectional feminist, astro-guy. They teach science fiction and writing at the University of Kansas. They are a public speaker, Campbell Memorial Award juror and chair, and director of the new Ad Astra Center for Science Fiction & the Speculative Imagination (after a 30-year gig with the J Wayne & Elsie M Gunn Center for the Study of Science Fiction). They want to create an intentional community of readers and creatives – people who encourage and support one another – the way they do for their (successful!) Speculative Fiction Writing Workshop attendees.
