Christopher Poindexter Poetry is Christopher Poindexter. They are a published poet who has been supporting themselves for about five years thanks to their readers on Instagram. It has been a humbling and warming experience to see so many people relate, support, and buy their art over the years. They are thankful. Due to Instagram’s new algorithm they are not really able to support themselves full time anymore, and a few of their artist friends suggested they give this a try, so here they are. In the future they look to travel abroad to work on their writing and study culture, languages, music. They figured what better way to fund their experiences than to give their readers something monthly- blogs, poems, etc. This seems like something they definitely want to try out. It’s a little difficult to engage with their readers on their Instagram because it gets overwhelming at times due to the amount of people. What they aim to do here is be more authentic, more personal, and to just connect with the people who have supported them over the years!
