Colleen Porter believes that a person’s life can be changed or even saved by music that has the right message for them. Music and theatre can reach and impact many souls, helping them feel seen, validated, and loved. Songs can literally be love letters. That’s what Colleen has come to learn of the purpose of their music created for several age groups across several genres. Like their own super-hero theatre creators and songwriters, Colleen feels called to contribute their own gifts to find the hearts that heal & connect with their songs and works… as well as to speak up for the silent and encourage the discounted. They also wish to influence social change and the way modern life disconnects us from each other. Colleen’s goal is for every person to know they are valued and connected to the whole of humanity, therefore Colleen’s goal is to continue to be able to dedicate their life to the music and words they receive and to put them out in the world in the best form possible so they can reach as many hearts that need to hear it. For a few years Colleen just sacrificed their own income, savings, and credit lines until they had to come to a realization that it was necessary to ask for contributions to enable to their music to continue in the short time they’re here. Colleen’s goal now is to bring their dozens of songs that are ready to life through amazing recordings, highlighting some fantastic AZ artists… and eventually have enough funds to add powerful video imagery – making a complete artistic package to reach a wider audience. Colleen also has a pending license with Maya Angelou’s foundation to release the songs they created from their thoughtful, loving poems to revive them for this generation…. pending production costs Colleen has a couple more to go.
