Coltrin Compositions

Coltrin Compositions

Coltrin Compositions is Max. They’ve been making and performing music of all kinds since they were a young teenager in 2008. They were a singer, and were classically trained by an excellent teacher. They started making repetitive electronic songs using the website audiotool.com, using only loops, when they were 15. Over the years, they learned classical composing alongside production, with a couple of fairly long breaks from music altogether. in 2012, they went to community college and formed an alternative rock band as the vocalist, but they were at school to learn game programming. The band broke up, and they decided to stop schooling at their Associates. Skip over several arduous years, and they end up studying at Berklee for film and game music (they recently got their certificate!!) while working full time in IT. They still work in IT, but their OCD, ADHD, and physical limitations make it very challenging to stay in this line of work. Here’s what they do: They make tabletop music. What does that mean? Well, it means that they make music that sets a theme, stays out of the way (most of the time), and makes the table feel something that they wouldn’t otherwise feel without the music. They have albums with music, albums with soundscapes and scenery, and albums with both. They also do commission work. Most of their commissions are either for podcasts or for scoring NPCs, BBEGs, locations, and even entire campaigns for DMs and their parties. They’ve also done the occasional short film and video game.
