Comrade Rhys is from Wales which is in Britain. They make videos on YouTube which range from topics relating to Marxist-Leninist theory, history and politics. As someone who used to be a media student at college, they have been learning how to improve their skills when it comes to all elements of creative media production, specifically the production and post-production elements. This has meant that they have been learning new ways of how to record audio and videos with better quality microphones and they have also been learning how to edit videos on Adobe Premiere Pro. At the same time, they’ve been incorporating what they’ve learned in college while studying the media course that they were doing into the YouTube videos that they upload. The other part of the reason for them setting up this Patreon page is because almost all of their videos on YouTube are “not advertiser-friendly” due to the archive material that they use to put forward their points. They also really don’t want to be in a situation where they have to mess around with sponsors either.
