Crackdown Podcast is a monthly documentary radio show hosted by Garth Mullins, an award-winning radio producer and longtime community organizer. Garth has been an opioid user for years, injecting heroin daily all the way through the last overdose crisis. He is now on methadone. Crackdown is led by an editorial board made up of some of Vancouvers most experienced drug user activists: Samona Marsh, Shelda Kastor, Greg Fess, Jeff Louden, Dean Wilson, Laura Shaver, Dave Murray, and Al Fowler. Professor Ryan McNeil from the British Columbia Centre on Substance Use is Crackdown’s Scientific Adviser. The show is produced by Garth Mullins, Lisa Hale, and the folks behind Cited Media Productions: Sam Fenn, Alex Kim, and Gordon Katic. They make the show on the territories of the xmkwym (Musqueam), Skwxw7mesh (Squamish), and sellwitulh (Tsleil-waututh) Nations.
