Crucible Custom Props has been making props since 2012. They worked for Blue Realm Studios in Dallas for a time where they made collectibles for licensees, as well as real working props for the television and film industries. They also did screen used prop restoration through Blue Realm, where they would handle original screen used pieces that are privately owned, but needed attention to restore them to their full glory, or to replicate broken or missing pieces. They also do their own commission based business where they work on props using replica and real parts to re-create iconic movie props. Sometimes those props have electronics to add a bit of flare. They have been lucky enough to work with people in the industry and have access to references and techniques that help them get the most realism possible out of their work, and they get lots of questions daily on how to do things. They’re hoping this platform will afford them the opportunity to give back a little on what they’ve learned and discovered over the years, and allow them to continue to make new content for people looking to build their own projects.
