Dana Hunter’s Unconformity is blogger and writer Dana Hunter. In videos, photographs, illustrations, and informative posts, Dana and the viewer will go to some of the most remarkable places on Earth together. They’ll travel to distant worlds, and find that, despite the name, the earth sciences don’t stop with Earth. They’ll listen to the stories of seemingly dull stones, and find they have incredible tales to tell. Dana will review some entirely awesome books. Dana will use cute animals to illustrate concepts in the earth sciences, and will delve into the past to explore the enduring contributions of women in the geosciences. Of course, there’s more. Dana will deconstruct creationist curriculum and ideas. Dana will defend science education from deniers and theocrats. Dana will face down fascism, plus challenge the bigotries and biases that hinder human flourishing and scientific discovery. It’s never been more important to stand up for STEM.
