Dane Figueroa Edidi is dubbed “Lady Dane, The Ancient Jazz Priestess of Mother Africa”. They are a Black Trans, Cuban, Nigerian, Indigenous, American author, singer, dancer, actress, writer, playwright and curator. They are the first Trans woman of color in DC to publish a work of fiction as well as the first Trans woman to be nominated for a Helen Hayes Award. As they continue to create more work, publish more books, engage in more artistic initiatives and curate more events that center and celebrate TransGNC artist, they invite people to join them by becoming a patron. They have created a Patreon account to offer a space for people who are invested in pouring into their life, their work and artistic initiatives.
