Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley is an artist that creates games, animations and illustrations that archive Black Trans people. Black Trans people have often been erased through in our archives. We are not given the chance to create work that both centres us and allows us to use fiction to illustrate our experiences. We are dedicated to making work that centres Black Trans bodies merging together our lives experience with fiction so that we may imagine a world that could hold us. Their work is deeply inspired by retro gaming aesthetic, merging this with topics that are often ignored throughout gaming. Their aim is to build an ever growing series of interactive archives that in the end can be accessed all over the internet and built upon remotely by other Black Trans People.
