Disastrous History is a podcast by a midwestern dad named Anthony covering disasters of all kinds throughout history. It was born out of a slightly unhealthy interest in all things historically disastrous. From tornadoes and earthquakes to mining disasters and arson. From the perspective of a professional fire investigator, the podcast provides the history of the area where the disaster took place, a breakdown of how and why the disaster occurred, a timeline of the event, and the resulting aftermath. Anthony sometimes delves into the specific failure mechanisms that occurred if the disaster (or disasters) weren’t caused by nature.
