ElminsterAU

ElminsterAU is the original developer of xEdit, originally a conflict detector (TES4View), which initially morphed into a full editor for Oblivion (TES4Edit) and has been expanded to support all following Elder Scrolls and Fallout games from Bethesda which share the same basic file format. The latest stable release can be found on NexusMods. Some years ago, when it became clear to Elminster that he would not have time to adequately maintain xEdit, he decided to open source the program. Thankfully a group of dedicated people took the job, foremost Hlp, Zilav, Sharlikran, and Sheson, with contributions from a number of others. They have done fantastic work and Elminster is grateful for all of it. It’s truly amazing to see a small tool, that Elminster built for himself over a decade ago, evolve into the full blown editor it is today. Recently Elminster found some spare time (the twins started school) and he reviewed the current status of xEdit. After perusing the issue tracker on GitHub and having had discussions with the team, Elminster found a number of overdue, non-trivial, improvements to xEdit that required in-depth understanding of the internal architecture. Elminster took a week off from work to go through what seemed to be easy fixes and enhancements to the system. However, those simple enhancements grew into a major update spanning months that took extra time away from Elminster’s fulltime job. The results of which are xEdit 4 which can be found on NexusMods (see above) and on the GitHub release page. This progress has only been possible by diverting most of the time Elminster usually spends on paid work to xEdit development. As Elminster is sure you understand, this is not sustainable long term. Hence Elminster has started this Patreon Campaign with hopes to gain enough financial support to allow Elminster to continue full-time xEdit development. Some time ago, Elminster also decided to open source Elminster’s Sindarin dictionary. Thankfully, a few dedicated people also took the job, foremost Wojtek and Rhinn, with contributions from a number of others. They have done fantastic work, and Elminster is grateful for all of it. Kind of you to spare the Oaks,
