Embrace

Embrace is on a roll at the moment, writing and creating in a way that they haven’t since before the first album. Some of you will remember that back then they had so much material they would release four track EPs with each song often as strong as the A-Side. Now almost 25 years later they have come full circle. Using The Secret List, they will release all the extra tracks that they would have previously released on EPs. Not only that, but as well as all the brand new material, they will also be releasing demos, alternative takes, great pieces of music, the list goes on. Basically if they want you to hear a new recording, well let you hear it, there and then, whatever time of day it is, unhindered by any record company or A&R interference. If they feel like live-streaming a set of Krautrock classics from the studio late one evening, well do it. There are no rules!!! They’re also looking forward to letting you hear how the songs for the next album come together. Making music is always a journey, and rarely ends up at the destination you thought you were heading. It has always seemed a shame to them that fans only got to see the final destination and not the journey, so now with The Secret List, they want to bring you on that journey. But thats just the beginning. They also have a huge archive of videos and photos and artwork and posters going back over 25 years. Each month, they’ll delve into the archive and showcase things they’ve never shown anyone before. They also have regular competitions, the chance to buy exclusive merchandise, online listening & viewing parties, QJAM signing sessions, quizzes, Q&As, exclusive instrumental tutorials Oh, and if you’re a member at Christmas, they’ll even send you a Christmas card signed by the whole band. In an age where just about everything pops up as soon as you search Google, they wanted to create something special, something secret, something you just can’t get anywhere else. And they wanted to release it in a more direct way that goes straight from the band directly to their biggest and best fans, cutting out the billionaire tech giants. They’re going to have a lot of fun with this. If you’re a fan of the band, they hope you’ll enjoy it and get other people to join, and please if you have any suggestions or ideas for things you’d like to see on here or things you’d like them to do, just let them know.
