Evvie Marin is a multimedia artist from Massachusetts, specialized in traditional watercolor and ink painting, and inspired by folklore, natural history, subconscious fantasy, and occult symbolism. They are the author of Interrobang Tarot, a wyrd tarot blog for creative misfits with a queer, millennial perspective. They have three, interwoven tarot decks in development: The Interrobang Tarot, The Black Ink Tarot, and The Spirit Vertigo Tarot. Two of those decks were recently featured in Taschen’s TAROT, a visual history of tarot in the new Library of Esoterica series, written and edited by Jessica Hundley. They also write an art blog on creative process on their homesite at EvvieMarin.com, and write and record indie folk music with a gothic slant under the band name Mocking Cricket. It may sound like a lot of pursuits, but they’re a big believer in the Renaissance approach, where progress in each medium strengthens all others, and the core themes and values behind each project crossover and tangle up deliciously.
