Felipe Cea

Felipe Cea is a multidisciplinary and independent artist who writes poetry, antipoems, and visual poems. They also make illustrations. They are currently developing comics, in addition to incorporating music and videos in which they compose and also collaborates and makes videos with friends. Felipe Cea is an self-taught artist (although they studied architecture, sociology and fine arts, they mention it only the first semester because they think it is irrelevant). They make visual, audiovisual art; visual poetry and antipoetry, sometimes they compose music but that would already be considered a hobby. They attempt to conjugate within illustraton the visual art and the visual poetry, trying to create a new artistic expression, expand the visual language and the language itself, in a beginning project my original goal was to try to manifest what I felt from the music to the artistic production only, I proposed myself to create a synesthesia, I noted the separation between art and literature, at the beginning, due to the lack of visibility of this art, I thought nobody had ever done it before, to my happy surprise I ended discovering a story and complete artistic movement, many artists before me had proposed it, with varying results and with varying degrees of one or the other art in the nomenclature of visual art and literature. At first, even I didn’t know what it was called. I can see it on the Internet, a free (although quite watched) platform not so much information as the transfer and consumption of images, a new land for art that according to conceptualists (who no longer had new art territories to discover, explore, and experiment) it was impossible, adapting to the magazine format or book, I found a path for exploring and learning. Now a bit passed time I am diversified, my original plan was to make visual poetry and comics nothing else, but it’s not just the Internet, it’s also the computer, so I have diversified myself, to photography, video, music, digital art … which in a beginning I thought as a problem towards the discipline, but like modernization, it produced artistic challenges, currently I am working on many projects that I have not been able to finish.
