Grimdark Magazine is creating an ezine for grimdark sci-fi and fantasy. Each quarter they’ll publish an ezine full of exclusive and re-print grimdark short fiction, articles, interviews, original art, and reviews. In addition, they’ll keep releasing grimdark-specific articles every day on GrimdarkMagazine.com with think pieces, reviews, exclusives, listicles, interviews, and more Since they first published in 2015, they’ve been fortunate enough to publish original fiction by R. Scott Bakker, Mark Lawrence, Peter Orullian, Aliette de Bodard, Adrian Tchaikovsky, Victor Milan, James A. Moore, Michael R. Fletcher, and a host more. But why does it cost so much per issue to produce? Simple. They pay the people who create for them. They pay their authors pro rates. They pay their artist. They pay for their articles. They try to do right by the people who entertain you through GdM’s pages. They want to start changing that, step by step. They want to start paying article writers, increase payments for fiction and art, and pay the wonderful volunteers who work so diligently behind the scenes for GdM.
