Henry Hakamaki

Henry Hakamaki is a graduate researcher of immunobiology with a research focus of Ebolavirus in a Viral Immunology research group. They might be familiar to listeners from their appearances on the David Feldman Show, where they are on the expert panel for their weekly Covid Town Hall meetings, or from the new “Ask Henry” segment, where listeners are free to ask them anything. While they wish that they could keep contributing to the public and scientific discourse without asking anything in return, the Covid crisis has put them under immense financial strain, and frankly they will not make it without support unless they are able to find other avenues for short-term financial relief. First of all, if listeners enjoy their appearances on the show, or their twitter presence (such as it is), they already more than they could have hoped for. However, if listeners have some spare chance that they would like to use as a “thank you” for the content and contributions that they provide, it would be unbelievably helpful to them. In the spirit of full transparency, every cent that comes from this will be used for furthering their education. The unexpected crisis of Covid has led them to a severe financial shortfall of several thousand dollars. While listeners don’t expect this patreon to even remotely cover the temporary shortfall, every bit will help them to continue to contribute to the public scientific discourse and continue their education. They will also be producing some patreon exclusive content, mostly with a science focus, though they might branch out a bit beyond that going forward. A more specific description will be available on the membership page.
