History of Westeros is Aziz and Ashaya. Over the years Patreon has enabled them to go from a part-time amateur podcast to a full time job for Aziz, and a part time job for Ashaya and Sean. Sure, Aziz spends most of their money on PR (Pun Rehab) but somehow they’ve managed to put out a few episodes. Jokes aside, this is life, and they are so thankful. They want your commute to be tolerable, for your chores to be something to look forward to. For there to be videos you can watch multiple times and still have questions. They want you to love GRRM’s world as much as they do. As fun as it is, the work is serious, each scripted episode requires 30+ pages of writing plus research, scheduling, production, editing and a lot of other tedious but necessary tasks. In 2017 they started paying a co-writer on occasion, and in 2018 they’ve begun paying their voice actors. They do occasionally get a sponsor and network ads (YouTube/acast etc) help, but they do not rely on that. *This* is what they rely on. They are for the community and by the community.
