Throughout the first season, they follow the experiences of friends as they write their very first romance novels with the advice of Bridgerton author Julia Quinn. In season two, Hot & Bothered: Twilight in Quarantine, Vanessa and BFF Julia Argy read the Twilight series as the world went into COVID-19 lockdown, recommended in the New York Times as a top podcast for quarantine, because isn’t now the time to turn to the survival lessons of Edward Cullen, that sparkling telepathic vampire who only escaped the Spanish influenza by becoming undead? For season three and forward, the team is creating seasons centered around a Romance that will be part book club, part deep analysis, and part taking the work and/or desires of women and treating them seriously. Their first of this endeavor, Hot & Bothered: On Eyre, will examine Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte.
