The main focus are the characters and the shenanigans they come up with to keep themselves entertained. Its often compared to clerks. The comic doesn’t get real heavy, or try to beat you over the head with a message. You might find some wisdom sprinkled in here and there though. The author also uses the comic blog as a journal of their life, and dumping ground for extra thoughts not necessarily related to the comic. A lot of people seem to enjoy them as much as the comic itself.
