Jadon-Maurice Forbes is an essayist, digital organizer, and all-around dope ass person. They have been an electoral and community organizer for eight years and a storyteller all his life. Jadon-Maurice got his start in Democratic campaigning, focusing on strengthening connections between Black and Brown youth and political engagement. In his transition from community-based to digital organizing and storytelling, they have channeled their passion for mobilizing folks, across all lines of difference, into helping progressive non-profits create people-focused infrastructures that support federal, state, and local power-building. They consider it their secondary career to continually address, through their writings, systems that promote racial inequality in their life and the lives of millions. Such is often the forced, but necessary calling for people with their skin color, but the work they do today lessens the load for those tomorrow. They love being Black.
