Jaime P. Sanchez is a self-taught poet who immigrated from Manila, Philippines to Chicago, IL in 1972, as he says, “to live a poets life.” It took Jaime 50 years to pen his first poem. His late-in-life practice reflects struggles with chronic pain and obstacles with the extractive medical industrial complex. His self-describes as a happy resident and student of Atlantic City, NJ. He also took up playing the piano late in life, a sign that, for him, this is only the beginning.
