Jared Cullum is a visual storyteller in comics and children’s books and makes painting tutorial videos and demonstrations on Youtube. Their favorite part of joining that community and teaching local workshops is meeting other artists as well as up and coming art students who are filled with passion and questions about making traditional art. They love talking shop and about the process of making art. They are constantly thinking about light and painting and their greatest joy is sharing those thoughts through demonstration and visual storytelling. They created this Patreon as a way to connect more directly to people who want to support what they’re doing or are interested in a private lessons structure. They love working with people on improving their seeing, drawing and painting. They see this as an open opportunity for a “guitar lessons” relationship they always wished they had when they were starting out. They struggled for years, reading and studying books on their own. They made many mistakes over the years and all they want is to have the opportunity to shave a day or month or year off of a growing artist’s journey to get where they want to go.
