Jenifer Jones Poems

Jenifer Jones Poems is Jenifer, and they love to write. They’ve been a writer for most of their life. Within the past couple of years, they began praying about whether or not they should be more intentional about writing and begin treating it like a job (but a job they really like). So far, it’s gone really well. They’ve posted over 100 short poems to their Instagram account, and with the help of friends they published their very first book. But just because they treat writing like it’s their job, doesn’t mean they get paid like it’s their job. Sigh. In their dream world, they would never charge anyone anything for any of their content. They would sit on a corner and write everyone a free poem. They would drop copies of their books from the sky. They would take on all sorts of fun projects. However, the cashier at Kroger says they have to pay for their groceries, and once a month they’re reminded that something called rent is due. Sigh. It turns out the folks who edit and design their books also have to eat and pay rent. And although they are super generous, they’d like to be able to pay them. Enter Patreon. When you become a patron, you help do three things: 1. Allow them to buy food and pay rent, so that they can keep spending their time on writing projects. 2. Allow them to pay those who edit and design their books, so that they can also buy food and pay rent, while helping their products look the best they can look. 3. Allow them to have money for cool new projects. They have so much they want to do! They want to make cool spoken word videos. They want to be able to hire illustrators for some of their work. They want to be able to buy the tools so they can make cool art out of their words.
