Jess Green is first joining Patreon when they lost all of their work overnight at the beginning of the pandemic. They were surprised how much support they received; financially it was vital during the pandemic and made sure they could pay the artist’s bills. And as the artist’s work has changed so has what they offer on the platform. It’s undeniable that trying to make a living as an artist is tough. Having a platform like Patreon allows people to support their favourite artists and allows artists to continue to make art and pay the artist’s mortgage.
