Joey Schouten is working on developing, designing and/or publishing Roll-and-Write games. For the past few years, Joey has been working hard on developing, designing and/or publishing Roll-and-Write games, which are small yet compelling dice games. From 2018 to 2021, Joey was one half of Inkwell Games, developing nearly a dozen games: some of Joey’s own design, some designed by others. That era came to an end this year, and that has led Joey to move on with designs of Joey’s own. Because of the global shipping and production issues related to board games and beyond, Joey has shifted Joey’s projects to be ‘digital first’. Digital first is exactly what it says on the tin: Joey is making games as an app first, using all of the affordances that brings. When physical games become viable again, Joey will likely bring these games to Kickstarter.
