Justin Gausman and Gurdip Ladhar are second-generation, post-1977 fans that are carrying the torch into a new era of fandom. Since February 2018, they’ve been producing weekly episodes with topics ranging from album, recording session & film reviews, to interviews with fans of all ages & demographics. Their mission is to put the focus back on Elvis’ creative genius as a recording artist, his successes and struggles as an Hollywood actor, and especially highlighting historical context, such as his influences and contemporaries. The amount of research that goes into each episode is most evident in their Song of the Week section: in every episode, each co-host digs into the history behind one song from Elvis’ discography, or from a peer, including songwriter biographies, highlighting covers, and where applicable, exploring alternate versions and outtakes of songs.
