Kohenet Talia C. Johnson is actively involved in Jewish community and studying with the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute. In their academic work they’re working towards entering a master of arts programming in Jewish studies where they want to look at specifically Judaism, mental health, and queerness. Exactly what that research is going to look like they haven’t totally figured out yet because learning is an ongoing process. They may have a question now, in six months it might change, it might shape a little bit differently etc. Their poetry is often focused on queerness, transness, sometimes related to Jewish spiral of the year, the spiral of our lives. Their current project is working with the netivot, the archetypes that they study in the Kohenet Hebrew Priestess Institute training. They plan to have those published by the end of July 2019. More details on this project will be coming in the next few months.
