Leslie Foster is a freelance experimental filmmaker, installation artist, and writer. All of those various facets of themselves get distilled and expressed in their experimental work. They’ve been telling stories for as long as they can remember and love using that medium as a way to explore ideas and experiences. They’re currently getting to create art in grad school at UCLA and they’re excited to get to share that journey with you. Their work focuses on providing space for voices that are far-too-often ignored and is centered in the lives of marginalized people, especially queer folks and people of color. Their films explore joyful resistance to systemic oppression and imagine new ways of being in this world.
