Man Man is Honus of Man Man. They’ve been making Man Man albums since 2004 and just dropped a new one, Dream Hunting in the Valley of the In-Between, on May 1st, 2020 on Sub Pop. It took four years & a lot of heart/elbow-grease/hair-yanking to pull together but it feels like a triumphant return to form since the last release, On Oni Pond, came out 7 years ago. They weren’t as proud of anything as they are of this record. They were psyched to tour the wheels off the damn thing, get crazy, exorcise away with fans at their shows. Nope. Global pandemic & an end to all things normal. The bottom dropping out in 2020 is just another harsh reminder that life can be unpredictable, fragile, unforgiving. You have to maintain levity. Cest la vie. They’re grateful to be alive & healthy. Their life blood, what truly keeps them going, is playing music and connecting with fans on the road. Although losing that symbiosis has been challenging, they’re hoping that launching this Patreon will present a perfect new place to Jack Jack with Lords, Heal the World and F Jack the Axe Man Jacked. This is all new territory for them & it’s gonna be a learning process for sure but they’re excited.
