Melanie Martin is a photographer and writer with ADHD. They do not want these labels to define them though and so they explore their place in the world. People might know Melanie from their instagram feed or their youtube channel, and so what they will see here on this Patreon page will be an extension of that. If you are already subscribed to the newsletter on Melanie’s website, you will know the tone and the type of newsletter Melanie provides. This newsletter will remain free to all but Melanie plans to do more of this on here. There is this book “Diary of an Edwardian Lady” and Melanie wants to share similar observations about life through the seasons like she did in 1906 just instead of illustrations painted by hand, Melanie will share some photos. Let’s call it “Diary of a German Lady in suburban Birmingham” for now and Melanie is sure they will come up with a much better title in the future. For my bookish followers, Melanie will host a Murder Mystery Bookclub, they will read a book every other month and come together to discuss this. Melanie will also share their general reading updates here. And naturally, there will be a monthly social. A chinwag over coffee or a glass of wine. Melanie’s support will help Melanie fund their art practice as a photographer. Melanie is currently working on a series around Brexit and Belonging and since it is a political topic, funding is a very hard to find.
