Midnight Looms is GOBS. They’re the host of the ULTIMATE DJ MIX SHOW FOR LATE-NIGHT MUSIC LOVERS. They know that even before the pandemic hit, music venues have been closing their doors all over the planet; especially small to mid-sized ones. There are fewer and fewer places for musicians who are developing their craft and their following to perform and earn a little bit of money to cover the costs of creating/releasing/promoting their music. If we’re going to be honest with ourselves, we all know that WE NEED MUSIC. We use it to make ourselves feel better when we are down. We use it to feel understood when we don’t. Whenever we get together to celebrate life, there’s music playing. WE SOUNDTRACK OUR LIVES. That makes music essential. It means that musicians provide an essential service. We need to start treating them like that. All of the money that they make from the subscriptions to this page (which is starting at JUST $5 A MONTH!), will go directly to the guests they bring onto the show. They’re going to create a brand new revenue stream for musicians. They’re hoping that it is going to be a game changer in the podcasting and radio broadcasting world. Together, they might even be able to set a new precedent.
