Mirth and Dignity

Mirth and Dignity

Mirth and Dignity began in 2015 as 12 people playing a practical joke, and have grown to 80,000 people in their Facebook group (the UU Hysterical Society). They are a Unitarian Universalist community that welcomes people of all types of beliefs–including yours. But no pressure–Mirth and Dignity is for UUs and non UUs alike).Today, Mirth and Dignity runs that Facebook community, raises funds for refugees, does monthly worship services, and runs the Cracked Cup Podcast, where Liz and Anne laugh too loud for their microphones, interrupt each other, talk theology, and get dive bombed by Liz’s cat. Last spring, an amazing organization called the UU Funding Panel gave them the grant that has enabled them to to the worship services and ten episodes of the Cracked Cup podcast. They also gave them as “matching grant” which means that for every dollar that’s donated up to two thousand, they’ll match it. So your pledge counts twice, towards their vision of not only a thriving community on Facebook, but a space in the worship services and podcast to go a bit deeper. Believe that the cracks are how the light gets in… and also, out? Join them in growing this weird and wonderful community.
