myron gilbert, illustrator is drawing things. They’ve done a lot of pen and ink drawings over the years, weird fantasy creatures, birds, fish, prehistoric creatures, cats, strange looking people, and a variety of monsters. They love doing monsters, but what they’re doing now is a little different. They call these new drawings Creatures on a Line, and in fact, the whole thing is a study in lines, wiggly, curved, far apart and close together. Not exactly parallel but close to it. They’re excited to see where the whole series is going. Like most folks who draw, they’ve held down day jobs, helping to raise and put the kids through school, while trying to make a living doing what they really love. But, eight years ago, they got lucky. They became a freelance illustrator and author. They regularly upload all sorts of content on Instagram and on Facebook. They do an oddball horoscope you can get for free by emailing them and asking to be included on the blind email list. They write a short story blog on WordPress, also free. Every now and then they put out a zine, available at local bookstores. They’re new to Patreon. Who knows where it will go? But the illustration business is tough and they’re hoping to make enough to augment their income while doing the kind of work they love. They’ll be sharing their new Creatures on a Line drawings and now and then, a monster or two with their patrons.
