Nayalan Moodley started their channel as a hobby as a part of the World How it is project, and it’s evolved a fair bit since then. They had only one big rule. That was to do things MY way, not the “best practices” way, not the suggested way, but the way the person prefer share with the world the person’s vision. As a result the person tend not to appeal to the mass-market looking to sate their japan fetish on fast-turnaround click bait, but rather people who, like the person, prefer to see Japan from a different point of view. To see it for what it is, not for what it claims to be, and appreciate the time the person takes to frame the person’s vision in a slightly higher-than-YouTube quality way. Which means the person’s subscriber count is lower than one would expect, but the person’s subscribers, YOU GUYS, are generally really awesome people. The person doesn’t have the riff-raff that most YouTubers have to deal with.
