Nicole Rudolph is exploring the world of historic fashion through sewing, tailoring, shoemaking, and pattern drafting. They’ll peruse antique garments to tease out their secrets, reconstruct garments you have only ever seen in museums, and occasionally bring a beloved character to life through their clothing. The past is full of secrets and mysteries just waiting to be discovered and here you’ll find the keys to making that happen. They have been working in and learning historic trades for nearly 15 years, and have a tendency to collect challenges. Whenever something seems difficult, impossible, or daunting, they’re driven to conquer it. And the best thing to do with their hard fought knowledge is to share it. Through sewing projects, patterning and drafting, research, and even shoemaking, they hope to give you insight into how “history” was actually made.
