Ordinary Elephant is creating new songs. Their voice is made of music and poetry, and this is a place where you can be part of the conversation. They don’t rush songs. They let them develop on their own timeline. This means they don’t want to guarantee specific types of content on a specified schedule. Instead, they will share their new songs when they feel they are ready to be, and sometimes what they share may not be new songs they’ve written. It may be their version of someone else’s song that they’ve learned, or it may be audio of Crystal reading a new piece of poetry. As far as their new songs, what they share here may be complete and in a final form (i.e. how it would go on to be recorded on an album), or it may be in an early stage, still somewhat fluid, and Patreon may be the only place it’s ever shared in that specific way. Their goal with creating this page is to connect more, and share their creations in a way they haven’t before. There may be videos they’re planning to post to YouTube that they will share here first, or there may be videos or other content they don’t want to make public for all the interwebs, but want to share with those who believe in them and want to be part of their journey by helping them financially. Their primary source of income is performing, which they absolutely love. The reality is that there is a large amount of time that goes into the business side of things, which cuts into time they can spend creating new art.
