Paula Meninato recently completed their MA at Plymouth College of Art where they focused on starting conversations on animal ethics through paint. They are interested in sharing their artistic research with artists, activists, and community organizers by starting a Youtube Channel and writing a book. They’ve published an eBook, Blueprint for Creative Dissent, which is available for free on their website. Through history, the ability of social justice movements to succeed has been dependent on their ability to successfully implement creative problem-solving, art, and effective communication to their strategy. Given our current political climate, it is evident that the left needs new strategies. Now more than ever, we need to evaluate what is working, what is not, and use our creativity to invent a new path forward. Through my art I aim to create the space for safe conversations about important political topics and inspiring strategic action.
